The UK is considering taking precisely those measures which are shrilly denounced whenever foreign despots do it. It’s really a tragicomedy. “Two men who posted messages on Facebook have both been sentenced to 4 years in prison by a judge at Chester crown court. Jordan Blackshaw, 20, set up an “event” on the social networking site but no one apart from the police, who were monitoring the page, turned up at the pre-arranged meeting point. Blackshaw was promptly arrested. Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan, 22, of Latchford, Warrington, used his Facebook account to design a web page entitled The Warrington Riots. When he woke up the following morning with a hangover, he removed the page and apologized, saying it had been a joke. His message was distributed to 400 Facebook contacts, but no rioting broke out as a result . Sentencing them to 4 years in a young offenders institution, the Judges said they had committed an “evil act” [!!!]”, the media added. It’s really shameful and ridiculous. Four years for building a web page ??! Shame on the British bastards who are as stupid as other dictators in the Middle East, Africa and South America. “The judge praised Cheshire police for their “modern and clever policy” [!!] of infiltrating the website [!!!!]. The heavy sentences came as defense lawyers and civil rights groups have criticized the “disproportionate” sentences imposed on rioters”, the media added. It’s really shameful. The UK Establishment is now considering taking precisely those measures which are shrilly denounced whenever foreign despots do it. It’s really ridiculous. “Scotland Yard stopped attacks by rioters on sites across London hours before they had been due to take place after managing to ‘Break Into’ encrypted social messaging sites, it has emerged . It gave them access to messages, planning riots and looting, which were bouncing around the heavily encrypted BBM service (BlackBerry Messenger). But it also gave the Met other information, meaning they were able to use details gained from the seized phones to give officers “live time monitoring” of BBM and also Twitter. By last Monday afternoon, they were able to monitor BlackBerry messaging . This Tuesday, police revealed they had considered switching off social messaging sites including BBM and Twitter “, the media reported. It’s exactly what the dictators do. But it’s not the whole story. The media added: “The government had drafted in the MI5 security service and the eavesdropping centre at GCHQ to join the hunt for those using social messaging to plot riots and work out how BlackBerry messaging could be “cracked” in future, and in real time if need be “, it’s one of the greatest possible tragicomedy. The UK has become another Iran, Syria, etc.
Some British comments about these shameful acts are interesting: “Is it legal for the Police to do this?… It’s Syria or England ? … Who cares if it is illegal … Big Brother is watching you, all of you, rioters or non-rioters … Whatever happened to privacy laws? … They weren’t “hacking in”. They simply monitored messages coming to phones they’d seized . To suggest that the BBM network was “hacked” is laughable. If it was hacked why they wanted to switch it off ??!! … the idea of “these people are potential criminals – so, no laws for them” is just very very chilling … The police can ask BBM to give them what they want, and it’s really dangerous … Don’t trust any social media websites, including BBM, they work with the governments … if Blackberry’s encrypted messaging service can be cracked, woe betide those in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria and so on … BlackBerry had banned by French Government … Enterprise Blackberry users (BES; Blackberry Enterprise Server) use a point-to-point encryption, but it can be broken … The whole BBM system can be broken, it’s possible … This is not democracy, it is corruption on a massive scale … Why does everyone think BlackBerry messages are secure? The UK Government can access the RIM server at any time. All messages sent by or to a person in the UK will be on that server … Big Brother is watching you, all of the elements of this type of totalitarianism, as Orwell predicted are there; mass surveillance of the population, the use of secrete police against our own population, ghettoizing the poor and middle class, propaganda, etc … Every time that I send an SMS, an email or use a social network, I always assume that there are authorities out there that can crack the message … Our freedoms going one by one, We are clueless of what’s going on, Surveillance cameras in every road, Our civil liberties they erode, You dare not think or talk aloud, When the Thought Police are around, There’s a Satellite camera in the sky, Tracking our movements until we die, Those George Orwell days of 84, Are fact not fiction anymore , Wake up my friends, before it’s too late.”
We should not forget that: “If Blackberry’s encrypted messaging service can be cracked, or they can work with the governments, woe betide those in Iran, Syria and so on “
