Bin Laden was Jailed ?

May 5, 2011

Osama bin Laden’s last hours are complicated and doubtful, but the last years of Bin Laden seem more complicated. Was he jailed or hidden? The pictures of the compound in Abbott-abad seem more like the pictures of a jail, not a house.

The first information about Abbott-abad said that the house is located in an urban area, but the pictures say that the house is located in a rural area. Do Americans and Pakistanis keep the flock of sheep and goats in an urban area ? “They had two cows and some goats, but had no discernible source of income”, a neighbor said.

The whole neighborhood is like a rural area in Iran, and I know that the situation in Pakistan is worst than Iran. But the funny point is that it was the only house in the neighborhood with barbed wire and surveillance cameras. Is it normal and acceptable in the garrison town of Abbott-abad? Do the military men and policemen accept this weird things very easily? In Iran, just the safe houses and jails, have barbed wire. “The expensive SUVs parked inside” the neighbors said, but did they belong to Bin Laden’s friends or the security forces and ISI ?

Although the house is large, it is unclear how three dozen people, including 9 women and 23 children, could have lived there with any degree of comfort. And it is also unclear how Bin Laden was able to flee form Tora Bora mountain with his clan, i.e. a herd of women and children. Is it a CIA’s joke that Bin Laden and 30 women and children could flee to Pakistan and Abbott-abad, without any problem?! According to U.S. officials, Bin Laden found the house safe enough to stay for up to six years !, a stunning length of time to remain in one place right under the noses of a U.S. But if you were Bin Laden, would you stay six or five years in one place? At least Bin Laden had watched some Hollywood movies and knew that he would change his place. But could he do that? was he free or jailed ?! It’s the main question.

Another funny and shifting narrative concerned the property itself. Up close, Bin Laden’s house, a tall, towering over the policemen guarding the gate, was not a million dollar mansion ! described by officials. When we take a look at the pictures of Bin Laden’s room, it becomes more clear that his room was like a dirty cell, or a dirty old room, not a room of a million dollar mansion ! The paint was peeling, there was no air conditioning, no telephone, no internet, etc. In fact, “it is worth no more than $250,000”, say some American and Pakistani property professionals, yet I think it should not be worth no more than $100,000, because it’s located in a poor rural area, and has no facility.

The Questions persisted about how authorities could not have known who was living in the compound, especially since it was close to the military academy. According to US officials, construction started around 2004, and a year later Bin Laden moved in, perhaps around about the time of the devastating Kashmir earthquake that killed 73,000 people in October of that year. As the wounded flooded into Abbottabad’s military hospital a mile away -so many that doctors set up a tent on the main lawn- Bin Laden and his clan were settling into this house down the road. But “there’s no doubt he was protected by some in the ISI,” the European official said of bin Laden. Anyway, on Sunday the 54 year-old Saudi-born leader of al-Qaida was killed by a CIA team in Pakistani military garrison town of Abbottabad. I don’t know why it seems like the assassination of JFK and its mysterious story. It’s so obvious that they tell lies about the last hours and last years of Bin Laden, but why?

Iran Red Tide Crisis

May 5, 2011

In the recent weeks, the state TV had a program about “Red Tide Crisis” in Persian Gulf. In fact, finally after three years of censorship, they showed some footages of the red tide crisis and its huge impact on the environment. “Red tide” is a colloquial term used to refer to a natural phenomenon known as a “harmful algal bloom” or “HAB”. Red tide is a common name for algal bloom (large concentrations of microorganisms), an event in which estuarine, marine, or fresh water algae accumulate rapidly in the water column and results in discoloration of the surface water. It is usually found in coastal areas. These algae, more specifically Phytoplankton, are single-celled protists, plant-like organisms that can form dense, visible patches near the water’s surface. Certain species of phytoplankton, such as Dinoflagelate, contain photosynthetic pigments that vary in color from green to brown to red. When the algae are present in high concentrations, the water appears to be discolored or murky, varying in color from purple to almost pink, normally being red or green. Some red tides, like the red tide in Iran, are associated with the production of natural toxins, depletion of dissolved oxygen or other harmful effects, and are generally described as harmful algal blooms. The most conspicuous effects of red tides are the associated wildlife mortalities among marine and coastal species of fish, birds, marine mammals, and other organisms. In the case of Florida red tides, from 2006 to 2008, these mortalities are caused by exposure to a potent neurotoxin called brevetoxin which is produced naturally by the marine algae Karenia brevis, a microscopic marine algae that occurs naturally but normally in lower concentrations. But in the case of Iran, the real causes are not clear, but the symptoms are like the Florida’s case. In fact, in both cases, in high concentrations of the marine algae, the toxin paralyzes the central nervous system of fish so they cannot breathe. Dead fish wash up on Gulf of Mexico beaches, and on the Persian Gulf beaches. In the case of Persian Gulf, more than 2000 tons of fishes and other sea creatures were dead

The Red Tide Crisis in Iran, i.e. in Persian Gulf, was begun in 2007. The Khamenei’s regime censored the news about the Red Tide Crisis, simply because the environmental matter in Iran, like any other matter, is a political matter. In the 90 percent of environmental issues/disasters, the Mullahs or Basij and Sepah have a major role. Indeed, they are the main responsible of the environmental disasters in Iran. In 2008, the UAE said that 500 tons of fishes and other sea creatures were dead in its coastal waters. But the Mullah’s regime first said that just 30 tons of fishes were dead in Iranian waters! and it was a big blatant lie. Later, some local authorities said that the true number of deaths is 100 tons. But if we apply the Islamic error factor (10) to it, we could say that the real number is more than 1000 tons. And it is consistent with the UAE’s number, and what people see in the Persian Gulf beaches. The stink of dead fishes in Bandarabbas was really unbearable, and is still unbearable. The stink of dead fishes has been unbearable in Qeshm, Busheher, and other cities of Hormozgan and Busheher provinces, too. We know that all of the raw sewage of Bandarabbas and other coastal cities of Persian Gulf are dumped into the Persian Gulf, and it’s really shameful and ridiculous. The sewage raises the Nitrate level of the Persian Gulf’s water, and it’s the best condition for HABs . In fact, the whole Persian Gulf has become a big sewage container, and all countries and people dump their sewage into it. The taste of Persian Gulf’s water is salty, shitty, and specially with the taste and smell of oil. All fishes and see creatures of Persian Gulf have a taste and strong smell of oil. It’s really shameful. And now with the Red tide crisis, the environmental disaster of Persian Gulf has completed. Red tide is potentially harmful to human health. Humans can become seriously ill from eating oysters and other shellfish contaminated with red tide toxin. Many of the poor Iranians in the southern provinces have not any food except see creatures of the Persian Gulf. So they eat them and become ill or dead.

The cause of red tides is controversial. But the growth of marine phytoplankton is generally limited by the availability of nitrates and phosphates, which can be abundant in agricultural run-off as well as coastal upwelling zones. Coastal water pollution produced by humans and systematic increase in sea water temperature have also been implicated as contributing factors in red tides. Other factors such as iron-rich dust influx from large desert areas such as the Saharan desert are thought to play a major role in causing red tides. Some algal blooms on the Pacific coast have also been linked to occurrences of large-scale climatic oscillations such as El Nino events. It is unclear what initiates these blooms and how large a role anthropogenic and natural factors play in their development. But all of these dreadful conditions have been found in the Persian Gulf. It’s a real tragedy for Iran that the beautiful Persian Gulf has become a giant sewage container, and the stink of its water is unbearable for both human beings and see creatures. Shame on the Islamic system that has made such a great environmental disaster.
